Brenda is the wife of a retired military veteran and mother to three teenagers. She has a heart for the Lord and strongly believes her calling is helping others. She has dedicated her life to providing help and comfort for people during hard times and genuinely wants to help you navigate your difficulties. She knows first-hand the difficulties that come with military life, the sometimes amazing - sometimes not so amazing - rollercoaster of marriage, life with kids/teens, grief, and many other trials that she has personally experienced. Each one made her more compassionate and empathetic, equipping her to help you make it safely to the other side of your journey.
Brenda earned a Master of Arts degree in Marriage & Family Therapy and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology which included a concentration in Christian Counseling, both from Liberty University. She interned under Joshua Keene, LMFT, as a part of her bachelor’s degree, and she also completed a practicum at Faith & Hope Counseling as a part of her Master's program. Brenda has received training and completed classes in many areas including: counseling theories and techniques, ethics, and group work. She is also skilled in several marriage and family special focus areas which include premarital counseling, marriage counseling, human development, family systems and dynamics, as well as family and individual therapy for children 10 years and up.
About LifeSong Christian Counseling
I pray everyday that LifeSong will bring hope and healing to many...for God's glory. In fact, that is the origin of the name, "LifeSong". There is a song that says:
" May the words I say And the things I do Make my lifesong sing Bring a smile to You
I want to sign Your name to the end of this day
Knowing that my heart was true
Let my lifesong sing to You"
I try to live this way. I fail... A LOT, as we all do. However, I do my best to help others in His name.
LifeSong is located in First City Church at 13th & Gadsden, Pensacola. The picture shown here was taken from 13th street, toward the West side of the building and facing a covered awning and breezeway. The entrance is located at the far end of the breezeway, through the doors on the left, and through the first door on the left as you enter the building. I hope to see you soon. God bless you!
